Sony has officially revealed its next-generation premium over-ear headphones, The Collexion, with a global launch scheduled for May 19, 2026. The device is positioned as a luxury version of the existing WH-1000XM6 lineup and features a distinctive non-foldable design that prioritizes structural integrity over portability.
Key specifications highlight the integration of MediaTek’s MT2855 chipset alongside Sony’s proprietary DSEE audio technology. The headphones include active noise cancellation capabilities and deliver 24 hours of battery life when ANC is enabled, which is slightly lower than the previous flagship model.

The Collexion will be available globally at a price point of 629 EUR, which converts to approximately $736 USD. The product design incorporates a metal structure in the headband and maintains a rigid build that does not fold for storage or transport.
This announcement marks Sony’s continued focus on high-end audio hardware with premium materials and advanced processing power. The device is expected to appeal to audiophiles and gamers who value superior sound quality and robust construction in their peripherals.
