Hisense has announced the Big White Bestie Machine X8 Ultra, a portable display device scheduled for release in China on May 8, 2024. The company positioned the product as a blend of mobile entertainment and computing hardware, targeting users who require screen real estate outside of a traditional desk setup.
The device features a 32-inch display with a 3840×2160 resolution. It operates on the Android operating system and includes 8GB of RAM alongside 256GB of internal storage. Connectivity relies on Wi-Fi, allowing for wireless data transmission without physical cables.
Powering the unit is a substantial 20,000mAh battery that Hisense claims provides up to 15 hours of usage time. The hardware supports several integrated features, including AI fitness tracking, AI voice control, and karaoke capabilities. A built-in camera is also included to facilitate these interactive functions.
The Big White Bestie Machine X8 Ultra is priced at 8,499 CNY (about $1,243) for the Chinese market. This pricing places the device in the premium segment for portable monitors, reflecting its large screen size and all-in-one functionality compared to standard portable displays.
Hisense has not confirmed the launch window for regions outside of China. The company has also not disclosed whether the device will support wired connectivity options such as HDMI or USB-C for charging or data transfer.
