JAPANNEXT released the JN-27VC180Q-HSP, a 27-inch curved WQHD gaming monitor designed for players who want high refresh rates without breaking the bank. The 34,980 JPY (around $216) price point makes this 180Hz display an accessible upgrade for mid-range gaming PCs and consoles. Buyers looking for a budget-friendly curved screen with solid color coverage should note the 100% sRGB gamut and VA panel contrast.

VA panel with 100% sRGB and full ergonomic stand

The monitor uses a VA panel to deliver a 5,000:1 contrast ratio and 300 cd/m² brightness. JAPANNEXT specifies a 1ms response time for both GTG and MPRT modes to reduce motion blur during fast-paced gameplay. The screen curves at R1650 to keep edges at a consistent viewing distance for the user.

Specifications

  • Panel: 27-inch VA, WQHD (2,560×1,440)
  • Refresh Rate: 180Hz (120Hz on PS5)
  • Response Time: 1ms (GTG/MPRT)
  • Connectivity: 2x HDMI 2.0, 2x DisplayPort 1.4
  • Stand: Height, Swivel, Pivot, VESA 100x100mm

Connectivity options include two HDMI 2.0 ports and two DisplayPort 1.4 inputs to support multiple sources. The stand offers height, swivel, and pivot adjustments, and the base supports 100x100mm VESA mounts for wall installation. JAPANNEXT also provides a two-year manufacturer warranty for this model.

The display supports 120Hz at WQHD resolution on the PS5, making it a viable option for console gamers. JAPANNEXT notes that the 1ms MPRT response time is effective at 100Hz or higher refresh rates.
