Mionix unveils AVIOR AIR CARBON FIBER mouse with hand-woven shell

Mionix has released the AVIOR AIR CARBON FIBER, marking its debut in the wireless gaming mouse market. The company announced the product on May 5, 2024. This launch introduces a new peripheral that combines lightweight construction with high-performance wireless connectivity.

The mouse features a hand-woven carbon fiber shell that contributes to its total weight of 42 grams. It utilizes a Nordic nRF54H20 system on a chip to manage its wireless operations. The device supports a polling rate of 8kHz for responsive input tracking.

Performance hardware includes a PixArt PAW3950 optical sensor and RAESHA optical-mechanical hybrid switches. While the 8kHz polling rate is a key feature, it impacts battery efficiency. The battery life reaches 40 hours when operating at this high polling rate.

Mionix has limited production to 5000 units for this release. The original price is set at 299.99 USD. A pre-sale price of 239.99 USD is currently available for global customers.

This product represents a shift for Mionix into wireless gaming peripherals. The limited edition run and specific material choices target enthusiasts seeking lightweight designs. The vendor has not confirmed the final launch window beyond the pre-sale period.
