Lenovo has introduced the Idea Tab Pro Gen 2, a large-format tablet designed to compete in the premium productivity segment. The device features a 13-inch IPS display with a resolution of 3,504 by 2,109 pixels and a 120 Hz refresh rate. Lenovo constructed the chassis to be just 6.2 mm thick while maintaining an IP52 ingress protection rating.
The tablet runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 system-on-chip. It includes 8 GB of RAM and offers storage options of 128 GB or 256 GB. The 128 GB model utilizes UFS 3.1 storage, while the 256 GB variant upgrades to faster UFS 4.0 technology. Connectivity is handled by WiFi 7 and Bluetooth 6.0 standards.
Lenovo prices the Idea Tab Pro Gen 2 at 600 USD (about $600) for the global market. The device is equipped with a 10,200 mAh battery. Lenovo has committed to four years of OS updates, extending support up to Android 18. The camera system consists of an 8 MP front sensor and a 13 MP rear sensor.
Performance testing indicates that the WiFi 7 implementation enables transfer rates exceeding 2 GBit/s. Independent reviews note that the battery life provides only mediocre runtimes under typical usage conditions. Thermal management also draws criticism, as the tablet heats up noticeably when subjected to heavy loads.
Lenovo has not confirmed specific launch dates or regional availability details for the Idea Tab Pro Gen 2. The company has not disclosed whether the device will be sold in all regions where Lenovo operates. Buyers should monitor official Lenovo channels for further updates on distribution.
