Nvidia has confirmed a security breach affecting its GeForce Now cloud gaming service. The incident is isolated to a third-party partner operating in Armenia. The company stated that its own global systems remain unaffected by the intrusion.
The breach involves GFN.am, a regional partner that serves users in Armenia and neighboring countries. These regions include Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan. A hacking group known as ShinyHunters claimed to have leaked the entire GeForce Now database.
Nvidia clarified that user passwords were not compromised in this incident. However, the breach did expose credentials and metadata related to two-factor authentication. The company is working directly with the Armenian partner to support their investigation and resolution efforts.
GFN.am acknowledged the security incident and stated it has taken steps to contain the issue. The partner promised to notify impacted users directly within 24 hours. Nvidia confirmed that affected customers will also receive notifications through GFN.am.
This event highlights the risks associated with third-party infrastructure in cloud gaming ecosystems. Nvidia maintains that its core operational services continue to function normally. The company has not provided further details on the specific technical nature of the exploit.
