Kyocera DuraForce EX2 brings Wi-Fi HaLow to Japan

Kyocera is launching the DuraForce EX2 KC-S704, a rugged smartphone designed for enterprise users who need reliable connectivity in difficult environments. The device matters because it introduces Wi-Fi HaLow support to the Japanese market, offering a new way to maintain network connections in areas where standard Wi-Fi signals often fail. The device operates on Android 15 and connects to the 5G network through NTT Docomo. It features a 5.8-inch HD+ display that balances screen real estate with a compact form factor suitable for one-handed use in work settings. The device supports both nanoSIM and eSIM configurations, allowing businesses to manage connectivity with existing mobile plans or dual-line setups.
