Lenovo has introduced a compact GaN power adapter in China that delivers up to 150W of total output. The device features three USB-C ports, allowing users to charge multiple high-power devices simultaneously without needing separate bricks. The design is intended for users who need to transport laptops and accessories while traveling.
Compact adapter delivers up to 140W per port for high-power devices
The charger supports fast charging protocols including PD 3.2, PPS, and QC 3.0 for broad compatibility with modern electronics. When all three ports are in use, the power distribution shifts to 65W per port for the first two connectors and up to 20W for the third. The power distribution allows multiple devices to operate effectively under high demand.
Specifications
- Total Output: 150W
- Port Configuration: 3x USB-C
- Max Single Port (C1/C2): 140W
- Simultaneous Output: 65W + 65W + 20W
Users can draw up to 140W from either of the primary USB-C ports when only one device is connected. The third Type-C port offers a maximum single-port output of 65W, making it suitable for tablets or smartphones. Integrated safety mechanisms include over-current and over-temperature protections to prevent damage during operation.
The adapter is available in China for CNY 339, which equals approximately $50. Lenovo has not yet announced international release plans or specific dates for global availability. The current Chinese model lacks foldable prongs, though reports suggest the international version might include this feature.
