Keychron is teasing a full-size keyboard that blends mechanical and magnetic switch technology. The V6 TMR Gaming Keyboard uses tunneling magnetoresistance (TMR) sensing, which the company claims is more efficient than Hall-effect sensors. This approach aims to offer the responsiveness of magnetic switches with the familiar feel of mechanical keys.
Hybrid socket accepts both mechanical and magnetic switches
The keyboard belongs to Keychron's V-series, which uses a plastic case. It features the company's Nova Socket architecture, designed to accept both mechanical and magnetic switches. This hybrid socket lets users swap between switch types without changing the entire board.
