Japanese retailer Thanko has released the Sanco Official Limited Neck Cooler, a battery-powered wearable cooling device designed for personal temperature control. The device offers a battery-powered cooling solution for users needing personal temperature control in warm environments.
Wearable cooling device features Peltier plate and high-volume fan
The neck cooler operates using a Peltier plate that reaches temperatures as low as -10C when active. A built-in fan provides airflow across the cooling element and offers three distinct speed settings labeled Strong, Weak, and Fluctuation to adjust comfort levels for different environments.
Thanko equips the device with an internal battery that supports up to 1.5 hours of continuous operation on a single charge. Users can extend runtime significantly by connecting the cooler to an external 10,000mAh power bank, which boosts maximum usage time to 4.5 hours before requiring a recharge.
The Sanco Official Limited Neck Cooler ships in Japan only and comes in two color options: Black and White. Thanko lists both variants at 4,980 JPY tax-included for the Japanese domestic market.
The neck cooler is part of an expanding market for wearable devices designed to provide relief in hot conditions. The compact form factor allows users to wear the unit around their neck while maintaining mobility during daily activities.
