HP has added new configuration options to its 2026 HyperX OMEN PRO 16 gaming laptop. The new variants include a 512GB SSD model and an RTX 5070 GPU option, giving buyers more choices at different price points.

New configurations expand storage and GPU choices
The HyperX OMEN PRO 16 is a gaming laptop under HP's HyperX brand. It targets gamers who want high performance in a portable package. The laptop features a metal A-cover and full-height arrow keys, and it meets MIL-STD-810H certification for durability.

The base configuration pairs an Intel Core Ultra 7 255HX processor with an RTX 5060 GPU, 16GB RAM, and a 512GB SSD. It is priced at 10498 CNY (about $1,546), or 8998 CNY (about $1,325) with a government subsidy. A step-up config swaps the GPU to an RTX 5070 and doubles the SSD to 1TB, costing 11998 CNY (about $1,767), or 10498 CNY (about $1,546) with subsidy.
The laptop is available in China starting June 7, 2025. HP has not announced availability or pricing for other regions.
The HyperX OMEN PRO 16 offers a range of GPU and storage options to suit different budgets. With its high-refresh display and military-grade build, it is positioned as a capable gaming machine.
