Ninja Theory has announced Senua, a new action-adventure game set after the events of Hellblade II. The game is not Hellblade III but a separate title with a different scope and design. It was revealed at the Xbox Games Showcase 2026 and is planned for a 2027 release.

A larger world awaits
Senua will be available on Xbox Series X|S, PC, Steam, PlayStation 5, and Game Pass. The full 85-person team at Ninja Theory is now working on Senua, following the cancellation of Project Mara.
The game features more combat, puzzles, and traversal than Hellblade II. Ninja Theory says the map is roughly twice the size of Hellblade II, offering an interconnected world.

Multi-platform launch confirmed
According to Ninja Theory Studio Head Dom Matthews, the new title reflects a change in scope and design. The team has shifted focus from the canceled Project Mara to this larger project.
Senua is set to launch globally in 2027. Pricing details have not been announced yet.
Ninja Theory previously released Hellblade II, which set the foundation for this sequel. The studio is known for its narrative-driven action games with deep psychological themes.
Senua was announced at the Xbox Games Showcase 2026. The game is confirmed for multiple platforms including PlayStation 5, marking a multi-platform release strategy.
